Aleks is a Director/Photographer who splits her time between New York and London. Originally from Lithuania, she attended the University of Arts London, where she studied photography, styling, and art direction. Her playful images and humorous films tell surreal stories realized through bold colors and sharp wit. Walking a fine line between unease and attraction, she plays with viewers’ sense of actuality, creating illusory worlds where lipstick stains are a blessing and champagne baths are perfectly casual. Self-deprecatingly honest, her relatable work places the dark comedy within the pastel-colored realms. Inspired by everyday life and the wonders of the internet, Aleks creates from a place that celebrates the good, the bad, and the ugly.
